Supporting the Special Olympics GB Golf Day
Managing Director, Neil Franklin put together a team for the Special Olympics GB Charity Golf Day in October. The weather was tremendous and £4,850 was raised for this worthwhile charity.
The team consisted of (from left to right) Robert Acland (Phoenix Financial Management Ltd), Stewart Hayden (HSBC Insurance), Neil Franklin (Chris Knott Insurance) and Ian McManus (Zurich Insurance).
Despite losing several golf balls throughout the day, a good time was had by all. Ian McManus went home with the prize for the Longest Drive.
During the meal and auction that followed, guests were treated to an address by Laurie McMenemy, Chairman of Special Olympics GB, who reminded everyone of the valuable work that the charity does with its athletes.
